Library Loot- 2.6.19

Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 11.34.54 PM.pngThis week, I am kind of cheating on this post. I did not go to the library but I did go to the book store and wanted to share my finds! I tried to get a lot of young adult books but…some were only $2 and I couldn’t help myself!

The first book I found is a graphic novel called Return to Perdition. This is about American gangs and it is a VERY adult book. I also found out it is in a series but, still $2!

The next book I found is Diary of a Haunting. This written like a journal and covers a girl who’s family home is haunted. This is one of my favorite finds!

Next is Hey Kiddo. I have heard so much praise for this book that I knew I had to get it. I want to get to this sometime this week.

Next is The Queen of Zombie Hearts and this is the third book in the Alice in Zombieland series. I have the first two books so I wanted to get the third in order to get closer to having all of them.

Next is Speak: The Graphic Novel. This is a graphic novel depiction of the very famous book Speak. I loved Speak so when I saw this I gasped for air. I am so excited for this!

Next is City in the Desert. I found out this is the second book in the series but from what I have read, it doesn’t seem like I need to read the first book to know what is going on in this one.

Next is The United States of Murder Inc. This is also about American gangs. I do not know exactly what it is about but I couldn’t help myself because I love crime stories.

Next is Fevermoon. This is about a super woman. That is the most I know. I found out this graphic novel is based off a regular book series so if I like this one, I will have to try the series.

Next is The White Donkey and this is a graphic novel that is based in the war time. As far as I can tell, this is not a young adult novel but it could be okay for high school students.

Finally is the Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes. I loved the movie so I was interested in this right off the bat. This covers different conspiracies about the movie and the cast members.

Sorry that I didn’t have to much to say about each book but in my Monday posts, I will add more about them as I read them!

Happy reading!

  1. Looks like you had a pretty successful book find! I’m so happy to see all the books you got for cheap! I will be reading the novel Speak this weekend or next week! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the graphic novel! Happy reading!

  2. Oh my goodness! What book store did you go to that had so many affordable graphic novels!? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a graphic novel in a used book store, so those are definitely steals! There are so many books on this list that I will be adding to my own. Diary of a Haunting sticks out to me. Paranormal young adult literature? Yes, please. Also, the Speak graphic novel is an excellent find! I have yet to read the original, but it is on my list! I am eager to see your reviews for each of these reads.
